Overview:

India is one of the best T20I teams in the world and they are the favourites to reach the Semi-Finals of the T20I World Cup 2022. Virat Kohli is back in his form and he will be a crucial factor for team India, especially on Melbourne grounds. Virat has an average of 90 runs in Melbourne with a strike rate of 158.

Secondly, the men in blue have many power hitters and experience batsmen like Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, Suryakumar Yadav, and Rishabh Pant who can very dangerous on their day. This gives India a strong batting line which will be crucial in Australian conditions.

Thirdly India has a world-class bowling allrounder in the form of Hardik Pandya. Hardik will be a trump card for India who can ball at a good pace and length which will be deadly. Pandya is also a proper finisher for India.

Fourthly The men in blue will miss Jasprit Bumrah who is out due to a back injury and this weakens India’s bowling lineup. Still, there are some fine bowlers like Arshdeep Singh who is very dangerous in the death overs, Bhuveneswar Kumar, Hardik Pandya, Yuzvendra Chahal and Ashwin.

Overview:

The unpredictability of the Pakistan Cricket Team is what makes it the most and least favourites at the same time. Nasser Hussain’s statement, Pakistan Cricket at its best, one minute down, next minute up, clearly elaborates the insights of men in green.

Pakistan’s team is known for its fast bowling. The men in green have the best fast bowling attack in this T20I World Cup with the likes of Shaheen Afridi, Naseem Shah, Haris Rauf, Shadab Khan, Mohammad Nawaz and Mohammad Hasnain. This will be giving Pakistan some serious strength. This bowling attack has the ability to defend 130 to 140 runs as we have seen before.

Pakistan has the top two quality batters in form of Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam who can win the game single-handedly Pakistan. These two give Pakistan a dangerous opening pair. The Men In green have power hitters like Haider Ali, Iftikhar Ahmed and Asif Ali who can change the game anytime.

Pakistan Middle Order has improved as we have seen in the final of the New Zealand Tri Series. Mohammad Nawaz and Shadab Khan are in their prime form in batting and they can hit big shots and rotate strikes and these both can give more depth to Shaheen’s batting line. Haider has regained his form and he scored a crucial knock of 31 runs in just 15 balls.

South Africa

T20I Rankings: 4th

What can we expect? Will Not Qualify

Overview:

South Africa is entering the T20I World Cup 2022 as an underdog. It is the 4th rank team led by Temba Bavuma. Proteas is a strong team with a lot of match-winners and these players can change the game in a few minutes

The Proteas have a fine and experienced bowling lineup led by Kagiso Rabada and followed by Lungi Ngidi, Tabraiz Shamsi, Anrich Nortje, Maharaj and Wayne Parnell. This bowling lineup includes three world-class fast bowlers and two quality spinners.

South Africa’s batting lineup is also strong with a bunch of power hitters. Quinton De Cock is an experienced and world-class player followed by Rilee Rossow who is a quality player. The Proteas also have a young batsman named Tristan Stubbs who has the ability to destroy the opponent on his day. David Miller is a power hitter and throughout his illustrious career, Miller has won many games for his team single-handedly.

Bangladesh

T20I Rankings: 9th

What can we expect? Will Not Qualify

Overview:

Bangladesh is a 9th-ranked team in the T20I Rankings. This team is led by Shakib Al Hasan. Bangladesh’s recent t20I performance is poor as they lost their last four matches against New Zealand and Pakistan in the Tri-Series and ended up at the bottom of the table.

Shakib Al Hasan is the lone warrior for Bangladesh with both bat and ball. Shakib played an important 68 runs knock against Pakistan in its recent match followed by Liton Das who scored 69 runs. These are the two batsmen Bangladesh will highly rely on.

Bangladesh has a quality bowler in the form of Mustifizur Rehman who can be very dangerous on Australian itches with his variations.
