This tournament will be a crucial opportunity for teams to secure their place in the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025, with intense competition expected in Lahore.
Participating teams
A total of six teams are set to participate in the ICC women’s 2025 WC Qualifiers. Apart from the hosts Pakistan, the teams from Bangladesh, Ireland, West Indies, Scotland, and Thailand will take part in the tournament. The Tournament is set to be played in Round Robin format, with the top two teams qualifying for the finals will automatically qualify for next year’s 50-over World Cup to be held in India.
Australia, England, New Zealand, South Africa, Sri Lanka, and host nation India have already secured their spots in the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025, having finished among the top six teams in the 10-team ICC Women’s Championship (2023-25).

Pakistan’s team for the tournament
The Pakistan Cricket Board has decided to start a 27-day training camp as they prepare for the ICC women’s 2025 World Cup qualifiers. The training camp will run from 2-28 February in Faisalabad. 31 players have been invited for the training camp, out of which 16 are centrally contracted. These 31 players are Aliya Riaz, Ayesha Zafar, Eyman Fatima, Gull Feroza, Gull Rukh, Hafsa Khalid, Iram Javed, Natalia Parvaiz, Sadaf Shamas, Saira Jabeen, Shawaal Zulfiqar, and Sidra Amin, Ghulam Fatima, Mahnoor Aftab, Nashra Sundhu, Sadia Iqbal, Tania Saeed, and Umm-e-Hani, Muneeba Ali, Najiha Alvi and Sidra Nawaz, Diana Baig, Fatima Khan, Tasmia Rubab, Waheeda Akhtar and Zaib-un-Nisa Niaz, Fatima Sana, Omaima Sohail, Rameen Shamim, Syeda Aroob Shah, and Tuba Hassan.
Format of The ICC women’s 2025 World Cup qualifiers
Like the ICC Women’s World Cup, the ICC Women’s 2025 World Cup qualifiers will be played in 50 overs format. This tournament can help fine-tune the preparations of the two qualifying teams for next year’s women’s World Cup.
