On July 23 2026, the Pakistan Cricket Board unveiled a new domestic structure that includes a four-team one-day competition as the PCB seeks to give players more chances to be ready for the 50-over World Cup the following year, which is to be held in South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia.
The National Champions Cup is a week-long, four-team one-day competition that has been added to this year’s schedule primarily to assess the depth of one-day talent in the nation and will kick off the domestic season on August 11 in Multan.
This is the season’s first of two one-day events: the National Champions Cup. Three days after the conclusion of the first event, department teams will compete in the second, the President’s Cup.
