The Pakistan Cricket Board has appointed wicketkeeper-batter Rohail Nazir as the captain of the Pakistan Shaheens for the upcoming Top End T20 Darwin Series in Darwin, Australia. The tournament will be held from 30 July to 6 August and will also feature teams from Australia, Papua New Guinea, and the Australian Capital Territory.
Pakistan’s Squad for the Darwin Series
The Shaheens squad includes a mix of experienced players and talented youngsters. Nazir, who has played 33 first-class matches, will be looking to lead his team to victory in Darwin. He will be joined by the likes of Aaliyan Mahmood, Basit Ali, and Shawaiz Irfan, who all have experience of playing at the international level.
The youngsters in the squad will be eager to make an impression in Darwin. Amir Hassan, Ali Asfand, and Arafat Minhas are all part of the Pakistan U19 squad and will be looking to use the tournament as a stepping stone to higher honours.

The Darwin Series is part of the PCB’s policy of providing opportunities for emerging cricketers to play away cricket in different conditions. The tour will give the Shaheens a chance to test themselves against some of the best teams in the world and will be a valuable experience for all involved.
