Is It a Wise Choice To Let Sarfaraz Ahmed Out of Action

Well after the recent slump from Muhammad Rizwan in test cricket it seems fans are desperately asking for Sarfaraz Ahmed to be given a chance. Fans have taken to social media and hammered the management with a barrage of questions as to why he has not been given a chance to play and they have yet to be given a definitive answer. So the question still stands Is It a Wise Choice To Let Sarfaraz Ahmed Out Of Action?

A Successful Start

When Sarfaraz was dropped from action it seemed to pay dividends to the team as the rise of Muhammad Rizwan was certainly a bright spot. He won over fans with his style of play and successfully managed to secure a spot in all 3 formats as the main starting Wicketkeeper for Pakistan. He was scoring hundreds and fifties at a rapid rate in all 3 formats and it seemed the right decision was made to change the keeper. With Babar Azam becoming captain Rizwan got more support and received Vice Captaincy for the test side.

With him coming in the middle order and managing to play long innings it had started to click for the team and it was showing results as well. The team was gelling well and Rizwan was showing very good leadership skills his overall performance in the test was great as he scored some crucial runs and helped Pakistan a lot in these performances.

The Decline of Sarfaraz Ahmed

After what seemed a heavenly start it started to deteriorate as his performances in test cricket especially have completely gone to a standstill. With short stands at the crease and him cheaply throwing away wickets at crucial times it has gone downhill for the wicketkeeper. The press has asked questions to Babar Azam why Sarfaraz hasn’t been picked to play and he has answered that they fully back Rizwan and will make the best decision for the team.

As we saw in the third test Karachi fans in the National Stadium made their voice heard as to who they want to play for the next up-and-coming test against New Zealand.  After Muhammad Wasim was sacked as a selector as well it seems that a return is not quite far away for the Sindh Keeper.
