With Babar Azam leaving the national captaincy from all formats, we can look back at the records and achievements made by Pakistan and by him in his leadership. Some of them are rare Pakistan records that Babar had achieved. So what are Babar Azam’s Captain Achievements for Pakistan throughout these four years?
We know there are some disappointing losses, including the country’s winless home Test series under the star batter. The most recent being the horrible Asia Cup and the World Cup. But negative results should only be pointed out. Here are some positives too.

Test cricket is the pinnacle form of the game. But with that said, Azam did not achieve that feat as high as he would have liked. In 20 matches he led, Pakistan won 10 of them and lost six. Interestingly, eight of his ten wins came away became the second-most for the national team. Misbah ul-Haq held that record with 13 away wins.

The bilateral series has been brilliant. Out of nine bilateral series, Pakistan won seven including series wins over South Africa (first time since 2013), Australia (first time since 2002) and New Zealand (first time since 2010).
Pakistan reached the No.1 ranking for the first time in the ODI rankings as a result.

Azam’s biggest highlight is when Pakistan defeated India in a World Cup match for the very first time in ICC Men’s T20 WC in 2021.
On top of that, he’s got a joint world record; the most successful T20I captain of all time. With 42 wins, he shares the record with Eoin Morgan and Asghar Afghan.
