World Cup Qualifiers Unveiled: Rivalry Reignited as Former Champions Face Off in Opposing Groups

10 teams have been sorted into two groups, namely Group A and Group B for the World Cup Qualifiers.

ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Qualifiers Dates

Beginning on Sunday, June 18, the group matches for the World Cup qualifiers will kickoff with Zimbabwe hosting Nepal at the Harare Sports Club. At the Bulawayo Athletic Club on Tuesday, June 27, Ireland will play UAE in the final encounter of the group stage.

Qualification Process: Road to the World Cup

Group Stage: Four Matches for Each Team

Each squad in the qualifier will take part in the group stage and compete in a total of four games. The top three teams from each group, which consists of multiple teams, advance to the following round.

Super Six Stage: Carrying Points Forward

The Super Six stage starts after the group stage is through. All of the teams’ group stage points will be carried over into this round, with the exception of the points earned against the lowest two teams from each group. This guarantees that teams have an equal opportunity to advance.

Further Matches: Clash of Opposing Groups

Teams will compete against sides from the opposing group during the Super Six stage. They will play three more games, which will improve their overall record. The top two teams will be guaranteed spots in the World Cup at the conclusion of the Super Six stage.

Final Showdown: World Cup Qualifiers Final

The top two teams from the Super Six stage will compete in the qualification final on July 9 in the city of Harare for a spot in the World Cup as well as the ultimate title of World Cup qualifiers winner.
