With the 2024 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup less than two months away, the Pakistan team will be busy in preparation for the upcoming competition. They will be playing three bilateral Twenty20 International series; one at home and two away. Here’s what Pakistan’s Road to World Cup 2024 looks like.
Road to World Cup 2024: Pakistan’s Schedule
A total of twelve T20I matches will be played during this period. The Green Team will take on New Zealand, Ireland and England.
New Zealand – Home – 5 T20Is
Pakistan will begin their preparations at home against a touring weaker New Zealand side from April 18 to April 27. They will play five games across two cities; Rawalpindi and Lahore. Rawalpindi will hold the first three games (18, 20 and 21 April) while Lahore hold the final two (25 and 27). The matches will begin at 7 pm PKT.
This series holds importance because of many factors, including Babar Azam’s return as Pakistan captain and the comebacks of Imad Wasim and Mohammad Amir out of retirement.
This will also be the fourth series between these two sides since 2022.
Ireland – Away – 3 T20Is
After a mere ten days later, the national team will travel to Ireland for a series of three matches. All matches will be played in Dublin and the games will take place on 10, 12 and 14 May. The matches will begin at 7 pm PKT.

England – Away – 4 T20Is
Shortly after the Irish series, Babar Azam and his team will go to England for a four-match series. Both teams will play each game in four different cities. The tour will run from 22 May to 30 May.
This will be the final series before the ninth edition of the T20 World Cup takes place from June 1st to 29th.
