All rumours were proven wrong as Najam Sethi, has revealed that the decision to rest senior players and try out the emerging squad in the upcoming series against Afghanistan was made after consulting with the players themselves.
“We had a personal discussion with Babar, Shaheen, Haris, Fakhar, and Rizwan, and explained to them that we want to give them some rest and provide an opportunity to young players who have performed well in the PSL.”
