Imad Wasim’s return has been the topic of debate since the eliminators of PSL and that has finally taken place. The left-arm orthodox has made himself available for the T20Is of Pakistan to come. Hoping so, he will be representing Green Jersey in the upcoming World Cup in the USA starting from June 1.
Brilliant PSL Eliminators and Final made a way for Imad Wasim’s return
Imad was part of the victorious Islamabad United led by Shadab Khan and has been if not extraordinary, consistent throughout the initials but unleashed his brilliant skills in the eliminators and Final. He made 126 runs with an average of 21 in nine innings.
He was the star of the season picking up 12 wickets, including a match-winning fifer in the final, his 5-23 with the ball and 19 runs under severe pressure earned him a man of the match in the final.
He also got 3-12 in Eliminator 1, dismissing Saud Shakeel, Rilee Rossouw and Khawaja Nafay in his first three overs. He gave three match-winning performances on the trot for United. Imad also became the first player in PSL history to win Player-of-the-Match awards in all three playoff games.

He wants to play for Pakistan, Said Imad while making this decision
Wasim had announced his retirement from international cricket in November last year.
Today, he said in a post on social media platform X formerly twitter: “I am happy to announce that pursuant to meeting PCB (Pakistan Cricket Board) officials, I have reconsidered my retirement and am delighted to declare my availability for Pakistan cricket in T20i format leading up to ICC T20i World Cup 2024.”
“I would like to thank the PCB for reposing trust in me and I would give my very best to bring laurels to my country. Pakistan comes first!”
