To start off with, Shan Masood and Mohommad Rizwan have had an amazing County Season and have proven that they deserve to stay on the Pakistan side for the former. They have managed to outperform some of the biggest players in England and have carried their team batting order from the get-go.
County Season: Shan Masood’s Vitality Blast
Masood has managed to become tied for second-highest run-scorer in the tournament with a staggering 516 runs with an average of 46.90 in 13 innings.
He had an exceptional strike rate of 142.14. With 5 fifties. His best inning has to be the one where he scored 75 of just 32 balls at an astounding strike rate of 228.12. Another one would be the 75 of 50 balls against Lancashire. Questions could be raised as to whether his performances prove he is being wasted in red-ball cricket only.
Mohammad Rizwan’s Vitality Blast
Rizwan had quite a spectacular season as he managed to score a lot of runs even though he had missed some games due to International duty. He has amassed 275 runs in just 7 matches with an average of 45.83.
He was playing at a superb rate as well at 143.97. Rizwan had some amazing performances as well like his not-out 81 against Glamorgan. His performances have been so impressive that he broke the record for being Pakistan’s highest run-scorer in his debut season in the Vitality Blast overtaking a 7-year-old record previously held by Umar Akmal.
