Top-Notch Australian Cricketers Set for Pakistan Tour, What Changed the Destiny Suddenly?

Cricket Australia’s (CA) promising statements are set to be fulfilled as the Aussies are scheduled for the Pakistan tour. The tour is going to happen after 24 years, gifting the delights of international cricket back to the cricket-loving nation.

It is expected to be a full-fledged tour since all big names from Australia’s squad are optimistic about visiting the cricket-loving nation. However, it is somewhat surprising since not a year ago, the big nations were reluctant to visit the backyard.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), officials, players, and the nation dealt with a massive blow after New Zealand Cricket (NZC) turned down the tour moments before the first game kick-started. It shattered millions of hearts and hopes seeking to welcome international cricket fully back in Pakistan. NZC cited security threats received from an unnamed and unauthentic source. You can read the full story here.

As it was not enough, a few days later, England and Wales Cricket (ECB), after scrutiny, cancelled their tour scheduled after the ICC T20 World Cup 2021, quoting players’ mental well-being and COVID hesitations.

The incident marked the ungratefulness of the two sides. It must be noted that Pakistan visited England during the peak COVID and New Zealand during the Christchurch crisis. However, Cricket West Indies (CWI) aid full support to the ravaged nation visiting there by the year’s end.

Big teams set for Pakistan tour – What worked its magic?

In the last two years, we saw that the teams were willing to face the men in green with their B teams and low-grade players. How on earth is every big team ready to visit Pakistan with its full-strength squad?

Team Australia ready for Pakistan Tour

The broken hearts minced harsh words, but that were of no use then. Ramiz Raja, the chairman of the PCB, asked the nation to keep their cool and mentioned the players to answer all injustices through their performances in then scheduled World Cup 2021. The performances themselves spoke in the nation’s favour, and the rest is history!

The slogans for Azam’s men were everywhere. Not only the citizens, but the praises revolved across the fraternity for the team’s blockbuster performances showing what they are, rather than what they are assumed as. Babar Azam and men thrashed away their bigger opponents; India and New Zealand. People counted it as the biggest revenge. PCB is on the verge of financially improving its models; as the officials suggested, money is what attracts the players to play in the country. Here rise the comparisons of BCCI vs PCB and IPL vs PSL.

In the calendar year, the green shirts’ country is delighted to host Australia, England, and New Zealand. After the immense struggle, people are thrilled to welcome international cricket back into the realm fully. The ecstasies were lost earlier after the attack on the Sri Lanka team outside Gadaffi stadium a decade before. It took years for the revival, and when it gradually on the bed, the two denials mentioned above once again broke the ray of hope.

Have a look at how excited Australian are for the Pakistan Tour:

Aaron Finch, the captain, stated:

“As a player, I can’t wait to go to Pakistan for the white-ball leg,”

“That’s one part of the world that’s been deprived of (international) cricket for a long time now, and world cricket’s in a much better place when Pakistan’s thriving as a cricket nation,”

Marnus Labuschagne, one of the most incredible Australian batter quoted,

“I can’t wait to get over there, see the conditions and try and find ways to score runs.

Hopefully, everything goes smoothly, and we get out there and play some awesome cricket and bring [international] cricket back to Pakistan, which I am sure the people over there will enjoy.”

Pat Cummins, the red-ball captain, added,

“Still a bit to work through…but at this stage, it’s all looking really positive. The amount of work the PCB has put into it is fantastic.

George Bailey, the chief selector, narrated,

“Once that gets the formal tick of approval, we will announce the squad. We are reasonably well down the track. In the two briefings I have sat in on, the security sounds very robust and very thorough.”

Steve Smith, while making a comment on Australia tour of Pakistan, added that,

“They’re great tours to be involved in and really test you as a player. I’m certainly looking forward to those.”
