PCB management has been going weird with the PCB chairman changing pretty rapidly. At first, former prime minister, Imran Khan, chose Ramiz Raja. But his era could not last more than a year. When the government changed, the PCB chairman changed too with Najam Sethi now taking charge. He could not get going that months after his appointment, he has has been replaced by Zaka Ashraf. As Najam Sethi leaves PCB chairmanship, Ramiz Raja is back to what he does best, commentary. It is pertinent to mention here that Raja was not welcomed for a commentary job during Sethi’s regime.

Ramiz Raja Era: What Went Wrong?
In 2021, Ramiz Raja was appointed the chairman of PCB by the former pm and former world cup winning captain. The era of Ramiz Raja was criticized pretty badly by the fans. This was mainly due to no maintenance of grounds and flat pitches, offering nothing to bowlers. Even though the likes of Australia and England came in his reign. The fans and players had a very bad experience mainly due to flat pitches where every player of the top order could easily score a hundred. During this, Ramiz Raja retired from the services of commentary. After Ramiz Raja got highly criticized he was replaced with Najam Sethi by the new government.

Raja Gets His Job Back After Najam Sethi Leaves PCB?
The reign of Najam Sethi however on the other hand was no different with flat pitches in the PSL. It was an absolute horror to watch 240+ being scored in a T20 innings more than three times in the tournament. But now there has been a conflict between two parties to select the PCB chairman. Elections for the PCB chairman are still to be conducted but Najam Sethi already has pulled out of the race for the PCB chairman. And Najam Sethi leaves PCB has become a reality.
Najam Sethi had a bizarre battle with Ramiz Raja for the crown. Ramiz Raja criticized Najam Sethi for every step he took which heat up the matter and did not do commentary during PSL 8 and Pak vs NZ because they were held under the leadership of Najam Sethi. But now, he will be back to what he does best in Pak vs SL as Najam Sethi leaves PCB and Zaka Ashraf becomes the new chairman.
We could just hope that the chairman doesn’t change once again and stability forms inside PCB.
