Pakistan 2025 Champions Trophy Squad Announced: Who’s In and Who’s Out?
Fans were surprised to see one major name on the side; Faheem Ashraf. The left-hand all-rounder last represented Pakistan in a Test series against Australia in 2023. He last represented the national side in One Day cricket in the 2023 Asia Cup.
The players who missed out since Pakistan’s ODI resumption in November 2024 are Irfan Khan, Aamer Jamal, Haseebullah Khan, Faisal Akram, Sufiyan Muqeem, Abdullah Shafique and Saim Ayub.
While Saim was ruled out due to a knee injury and Abdullah dropped due to his poor form, all of them were part of the three series that Pakistan won recently.
Fakhar Zaman makes his comeback since the horrible 2024 T20 World Cup and, if he plays, will be his first ODI since the 2023 World Cup.

Pakistan 2025 Champions Trophy Squad Announced: What are we expecting this time?
After a dismal 2023 World Cup performance in India, Babar Azam was removed as captain and no one was announced as the ODI captain until October 2024, when Mohammad Rizwan was announced as his successor.
The team played their first ODI series in November 2024 since the World Cup against Australia, followed by Zimbabwe and South Africa. Pakistan won all three series.
With the recent performances and being the hosts and the Defending Champions, fans and experts believe Pakistan to finish in the top two.
Mohammad Rizwan’s team are placed in group A alongside India, Bangladesh and New Zealand. They will play against New Zealand in the tournament opener on February 19 in Karachi.
