The next 50 overs of Cricket World Cup 2023 will be the 13th edition of World Cup Cricket and will be played completely in India. This will be the first time India will be hosting the Cup exclusively, as in previous editions, they acted as joint hosts. This competition will have 10 teams fighting for the beautiful trophy and the ODI World Cup 2023 Final will be played on 26th November.
Team India is always known for its batting powerhouse due to its top order. Captain Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill should be their first-choice openers. Shikar Dhawn is now a strong candidate as a backup opener in the upcoming ODI World Cup 2023 after Rahul Dravid’s statement. Virat Kohli, without any doubt, will play at number three.

India’s Middle order is now under concern after the injury of Shreyas Iyer but sources said that he would recover soon and will be available for the ODI World Cup 2023 and gain his number four spot. KL Rahul will bat at the No. five-spot and also fulfil the duties of wicketkeeping in the absence of their regular keeper Rishabh Pant. Despite the poor run in recent ODI games, Suryakumar Yadav would also be available in the squad due to the support of the captain and coach.
As the next ODI World Cup will be played in India so pitches would be spinners friendly. So undoubtedly, spinners will supposedly play a massive part in the ODI WC 2023.
Ravindra Jadeja and Yuzvendra Chahal would be the front-line spinners for Men in Blue. Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav can turn up as their backup options for India.
Recently team India produced very good fast bowlers and now the Indian team fulfils this deficiency and hence is the strongest candidate to lift the ODI World Cup 2023. Mohammed Shami and Mohammed Siraj would be the front-line fast bowlers in ODI World Cup 2023 in the absence of their ace fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah. Hardik Pandya would be their third fast bowling option and will also provide lower-order power hitting. Shardul Thakur remains the backup option for Team India.
There is a lot of debate regarding Sanju Samson and Ishan Kishan but selectors would pick Ishan Kishan as their backup Wicktkeeper for World Cup 2023. Jaydev Unadkat and Washington Sundar will be the stand-in players in the fast and spin bowling department respectively.
