The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has revealed an action-packed domestic cricket schedule for 2025, promising an exciting year for players and fans. With a mix of first-class, white-ball, and age-group tournaments, the schedule aims to nurture talent and provide competitive cricket across all formats.
A total of 21 domestic tournaments, including marquee events like the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy and National T20 Cup, headline the calendar, while over 10,000 matches across club, school, college, and university levels ensure opportunities for emerging cricketers nationwide.
First-Class Cricket Takes Center Stage
First-class cricket remains the backbone of the domestic schedule, with three major tournaments leading the charge. The ongoing President’s Trophy Grade-I kickstarts the year, followed by the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy and the Champions Cup, both slated for September-October.
These tournaments offer players a platform to showcase their skills in the red-ball format and stake their claim for Pakistan’s Test team. The President’s Cup Grade-I, a 50-over List-A event, and the Champions T20 Cup round out the year with thrilling white-ball cricket.

Revamped Age-Group Pathways
The PCB has restructured its age-group cricket by introducing U15 and U17 categories, replacing the previous U13 and U16 levels. This change aims to maximize participation and provide young cricketers ample time to develop within their respective age brackets.
The National U19 Cup, scheduled for September, will serve as a stepping stone for the best district-level players. Additionally, the inaugural Champions U19 Cup and Trophy in October-November will bring together the country’s top U19 talent under the mentorship of five experienced coaches, offering an unparalleled pathway for aspiring cricketers.
National T20 Cup and Pakistan Super League
The National T20 Cup, featuring 18 teams from 16 regions, is scheduled for March, providing a platform for players to showcase their skills in the shortest format.
Meanwhile, the much-anticipated Pakistan Super League (PSL) 10 will take place in April-May, drawing global attention. Following the PSL, players will undergo fitness and conditioning camps in preparation for the second half of the domestic calendar.
Over 10,000 Matches at the Grassroots
The PCB’s commitment to grassroots development is evident in its plans to host over 10,000 matches across club, school, college, and university levels. These events aim to cast a wide talent net, ensuring Pakistan cricket’s pipeline remains robust and competitive.
Competitions like the Inter-Schools, Inter-Colleges, and Inter-University tournaments, along with the National Club Championship, will be instrumental in unearthing new talent and fostering a cricketing culture nationwide.
A Year of Competitive and Developmental Cricket
The PCB’s comprehensive domestic cricket schedule for 2025 reflects its dedication to balancing elite competition with developmental initiatives. From first-class tournaments to age-group pathways and grassroots matches, the calendar is packed with opportunities for players at all levels to grow and shine.
As the year unfolds, fans can look forward to a blend of thrilling matches and promising new talent emerging from Pakistan’s domestic circuit.
