Sri Lanka recently has been struck with the worst possible financial losses and was declared default which led to rage in the public of Sri Lanka and that led to the government losing its power in the country.
In this whole going around, the Australian cricket tour to Sri Lanka was scheduled to take place in the country even when the news was suggesting that the Asia cup will be moved out of Sri Lanka amid their financial crisis.
Australia tour of Sri Lanka and concerns of Australian Players
The Australian cricket players were rightly so worried and concerned about their tour to Sri Lanka. On the other hand, ACB was very much committed and dedicated to making this tour a success story. The players were resisting travelling to the crisis-struck country as they were uncertain whether or not they’ll be provided with the required facilities or not.
Still, this tour existed and is still going on with great heart from the Sri Lankan authorities and the heartwarming Lankan people.
The Fairytale returns to the form of the Sri Lankan Cricket Team
Lost the first 2 T20IS by a fair margin yet the wounded lions were ready to reply. Dasun Shanaka’s fiery knock in the 3rd and final T20 international made the lions believe that they can bring smiles back to the sad faces of the vibrant people of the island as they won the game in the last over.

The ODI series started with the Aussies being the favourites but SL lions were no less than the warriors who have nothing to lose. The series started with a win for the Kangaroos but no one expected the kind of counter Lankan lions showed as they won 2 ODIs on the trot and now are on the brink of winning the ODI series against a full-strength Australian squad.
The world is seeing a resurgence of Lankan Tigers as a power to reckon with yet again and with that, the cricket fraternity is elated.
What to expect in near future from this young rising team
Pakistan is scheduled to play in Sri Lanka for a series of 2 test matches which are a part of the World Test Championship. This keeps equal importance for both countries as both teams are in the race for the WTC final coming in may next year. Pakistan would need to play their skins out to give it a contest and bring out winning results. This exciting change in team Sri Lanka has been a breath of fresh air in the storm of despairs.
