It was yet another disappointing day for Pakistani athletes as the majority of them got knocked out of various competitions. Although there was some good news from the Shooting and Volleyball competitions, in general, it was a tiring and fruitless day for some of the athletes. In this blog, we review the results of Pakistan athletes on Day 3 of the Hangzhou Asian Games.
Shooting
Three Pakistan shooters were in action in stage 1 of the Skeet Men’s competition. Usman Chand finished in 10th position with 72 points, just two shy of the leader Yunxuan Wu of China. Ahmad Usman also finished with an impressive 70 points, whereas Imam Haroon ended stage 1 in 34th position with 65 points.
All three men then teamed up later in the day to feature in the Skeet Team competition. They were looking strong at the beginning of the competition, but a below-par shot by Imam (18 points) meant that they could only finish stage 1 in 7th position with 207 points.
Kishmala Talat participated in the 25m Women’s Pistol competition. In the precision round, she finished in 12th spot. The 21-year-old will be in action on 27th September in the Rapid Fire round.
