The inaugural release of the Kashmir Premier League (KPL 2021) is to run from 6th to 17th August in Muzaffarabad. Following the first-ever edition of the contest promoting the sports community in Azad and Jammu Kashmir, the authorities are incited to welcome the league with nurturing incantations.
Ahead of finalizing the squads for the six franchises, the KPL 2021 draft got down and dusted on 3rd July with all the teams picking their preferences as per the pick order. These six franchises are entitled Bagh Stallions, Kotli Lions, Muzaffarabad Tigers, Overseas Warriors, Mirpur Royals, and Rawalpur Hawks. There is no disclosure concerning the addition of new teams to the Kashmir Premier League in later versions.
The league provides a vast forum for the AJK talent to gain limelight alongside boosting their cricketing skills. Keeping the aims and objectives of the KPL, a notable proportion of Kashmiri players have been appended in the emerging category.
