September 2021 was the last time the Black Caps toured Pakistan and it was a joyous moment for the nation but a single fake email caused havoc and made the Black Caps change their decision as they went back just before the toss of the first ODI in Rawalpindi. This quick and sad decision left PCB devastated and they raised this issue in ICC. After this incident, the world cricket fraternity was stunned and jaw-dropped. This made NZ cricket apologize to Pakistan in a public statement and they promised to pay compensation as well as tour Pakistan for a full series.
