Human life is interpreted through ups and downs and trials. A playing field is a place where one day someone wins the field by playing a good game and someone loses a game by doing a few mistakes. Cricket is celebrated as a festival in Pakistan and India. And especially when it comes to the World Cup, emotions are running high in both countries. This time the T20 World Cup festival was held in the United Arab Emirates in which 16 teams participated including the Pakistan cricket team.
Pakistan Cricket Team in Group Stage
The Pakistan cricket team was placed in the group of the Indian team and this is the match that awaits not only the people of the subcontinent but also the cricket fans all over the world. Pakistan outscored their traditional rivals India by 10 wickets and for the first time in any World Cup, the Indian team lost. After this, the team which had recently canceled its tour of Pakistan and returned home defeated New Zealand after a brilliant contest.
The Pakistan cricket team defeated both the big teams of the group stage in a brilliant manner and reached the semi-final stage unbeaten by defeating the rival teams in the remaining matches.
Pakistan Cricket Team in Semi Finals
A semi-final is a contest in which one team loses and returns home and another team qualifies for the final. It is important to remember that no matter how hard you try to reach the semi-finals, you have to work twice as hard in the knockout stages. Pakistan’s opponent was Australia’s cricket team which never allowed Pakistan to win any knockout match.
Pakistan lost the toss and which means they had to bat first, giving Australia a target of 177, with Champions Trophy hero Fakhar Zaman scoring an impressive 55 and wicketkeeper-batsman Mohammad Rizwan, who was in intensive care for two days his brilliant 66 runs were also included. This was a big target on Dubai’s slow wicket which was not an easy task to cross. Pakistan forced Australia to go on the back foot as a result of Shadab Khan’s excellent bowling and turned the match around.
But as there is a famous quote that says that “ONLY THOSE WHO DARE RISK A FALL” we see the poor bowling performance from Hassan Ali who not only dropped a valuable catch but also gave 44 runs in 4 overs which led the Pakistan team towards another semifinal lost against Australia. In Shaheen Shah’s last over, the Australian wicket Keeper batter Mathew Wade scored 22 runs and secure a place for his team in the final.
Winning and losing is part of the game and it has always been. But the excellent game that Pakistan played in this tournament is unbelievable. We not only stand with our team but will always support our team. Thank you, Pakistan cricket team.
