Shoaib Malik is not just a career. It is an era, the cricketer the youth have watched him in their childhood and still are watching him play. No matter what the circumstances are, he is always there. After the 2011 World Cup, Malik was brought back into the Pakistan team, but the stay was not for long. He only played a handful of matches. He continued to remain out of the team because of a lack of good performances. From around 2011 -2015, he could manage only to play about 20 matches, which deprived him of again getting into the World Cup squad in 2015.

Some interviews suggest that Malik has given hints that World Cup 2020 can be his last appearance for the National Side, yet he will play one or two years of franchise cricket, and one can still see him in PSL.
