Last week, the Pakistan cricket team claimed the ODI series to their name when they beat the tourists in the third game of the five-match series. But it seems Imam-ul-haq isn’t too happy about what happened afterwards. He took to social media and put a strange message that has fans thinking that something is wrong in the Pakistan camp. Imam’s cryptic tweet came after changes in the squad were made for the fourth and fifth ODI. Here’s what he said and how fans are reacting.

Imam’s cryptic tweet and the fans’ speculations
The 27-year-old, currently ranked fifth in the ICC ODI batters list, is Pakistan’s top 50-over opening batter. He has under his name 2719 ODI runs at a strike rate of 83.00 including nine tons. In the series alone, the Southpaw has accumulated 174 in the three matches has played including a man of the match series for his brilliant 90 in the third game. It was surprising that the young batter was dropped for the subsequent games. But more surprising was the statement that came preceding it.
In the presser following the third 50-over match, Imam was asked if the team needed any additions in the middle to which he replied that the team doesn’t have time to undergo experiments at this stage. The next two matches saw Shan Masood replacing the batter and today Imam’s cryptic tweet surfaced on the internet
Cricket fans come to Imam’s rescue, some suspect conspiracy
The followers were quick to share their two cents on Imam’s cryptic tweet. Some offered their support, while others suspected some kind of controversy, probably birthed after that press conference, they think.
Some have tried to clear the air
According to sources, Imam’s cryptic tweet has nothing to do with his exclusion and his exclusion has nothing to do with his statement to the media. Former cricketer Rashid Latif said in an interview that Haq’s exclusion came after the batter complained of a strained hamstring
Regardless of what anyone says, Imam is an integral part of Pakistan’s ODI squad and is a confirmed player for the Cricket World Cup 2023. He has done wonders for the team and no one can exclude or replace him without a valid reason present.
