Multan Sultan is often termed as Rizwan’s Multan Sultans just because of the energy, vigor, and valor to perfection he provides to the team. His addition has been stupendous and miraculous for the novice team, under his leadership, they astounded the cricketing world in PSL 6 as they won the title for the first time.
Rizwan’s Multan Sultan will be trying to imitate exactly what they did in a previous couple of Seasons as they have nearly all the boxes ticked. We will figure out the qualities they possess and the weakness they have that may get pounded by the opponent teams.
Strengths
Experienced and technically Sound Opening Combo
With Opening being paired by Pakistan’s brilliant wicketkeeper and Shan Masood, they will not be worrying about losing the wickets early. They are technically rigid and can hit the bad ball in no time. Their winning ratio is highly dependent on their opening partnership. Rizwan with the changed approach in BPL being more aggressive will be much more advantageous for him and it will be icing on the cake for Rizwan’s Multan Sultans.
One thing which some of the other teams don’t possess but Sultan’s do is the left-right opening Combination. It is hectic and deceitful for the opponent team and is going to be advantageous for the Sultans.
Explosive Middle Order
Qualities of Multan’s middle order are exactly the contradiction of the qualities their opening pair possess. It may seem bizarre but it is as it is. Rilee Rossouw and Tim David are old in the Business but David miller is a new addition to the den of lions.
The Singapore-born middle-order batsman is a dream player for any franchise in the first place. His show at last year’s ipl was just a little clue of his abilities. His performance for Rizwan’s Multan Sultans has been a sure projection of what the future holds for him. The Killer Miller’s addition has added fuel to the fire. He is second to none and had his brilliant t20 century Vs India in India last year and he is in full-fledged form.
Quality All-rounders with supreme hard-hitting capacities
Khushdil Shah was the best all-rounder of the PSL 7. His finishing skills for Rizwan’s Multan Sultans can never be distrusted. With the Unavailability of Asif Afridi, he will be having full authority, and Captain’s syndicate to parody him as a spin bowler. He will be more helpful once Lahore pays the host to PSL matches.
With Anwar Ali though not as efficient as the Old one still, his abilities are what make him different from the rest. He can swing the new ball and can take victory out of the jaws of defeat. Akeal Hossein will be making his debut in PSL under the Umbrella of Sultans and has all the guts which a t20 all-rounder must have. He recently had his BBL debut which is a testimonial of his qualities.

Weaknesses
Weak Fast bowling
Sultan’s bowling can be considered the weakest of all the teams as far as fast bowling is concerned. The talent of their fast bowlers can never be doubted but what they lack is the unique thing of “Experience”.Shahnawaz Dahani, Blessing Muzarabani, and co are all super-talented bowlers with a lack of experience. Getting hit in this particular format is common but how the bowler reacts after being beaten makes the difference. Young players get panic once this situation happens and this is the quality no one can inculcate but comes with time.
Not many 2nd Options
Multan Sultan has limited options to fall back upon. Their bench strength is not as strong as other teams have and they will be wishing to have their players fit till the very end. Any mishap can make them pay through the nose. Even if they call new replacements when needed, they will not be as persuasive as prior ones are.
