Cricket, merely a male-dominant sport globally, especially in the Asian countries, is now witnessing females stepping in with great devotion and interest in its different aspects.

Being one of the countries where cricket is usually hindered among women by any means, Pakistan is now embracing ladies from across the realms in play, commentating, analyzing, presenting, and talking about cricket.

Mariya Rajput, one of the female cricket lovers endeavoring and striving to achieve big in the field, is doing the colossal relevant service with a limitless consecration towards the sport.

After coiling up her career as a Mass Communication degree holder in 2016, she kick-started her professional life with 7 News as an intern. Reporting gradually, she gave an upper hand to the home series and Pakistan Super League (PSL) and has covered the event in Dubai.

Her new task is going to be the ICC T20 World Cup initiated today with the Group Stage, Round 1. Having official accreditation as a media person, she already is at the climax of her career.

Her recent most task has been working as a media manager of Muzaffarabad Tigers, one of the franchises of the Kashmir Premier League (KPL 2021). It is pertinent to mention that the Mohammad Hafeez-led side ended up as the runner-up versus Shahid Afridi’s Rawalakot Hawks.

The lady was also featured on social forums of the Tigers for getting promoted as Director of Media Affairs. Lauded with plenty of deserving praises, Mariya Rajput feels there is still a lot to achieve in the field.
